Online Group Therapy

Connect and Heal in a Supportive Group Setting

EHN Online Group Therapy provides you with the chance to connect and process with others in similar situations. Group therapy is an important part of addiction recovery—your fellow group members will act as a support network, helping you by sharing their own experiences. Your group can be a place to talk through your experiences and develop strategies for overcoming them.

You may feel like you are alone or that you are the only one struggling, but you’re not. Our patients consistently report that their groups are a safe and supportive space to connect, process, and heal.

Facilitated by experienced addictions counsellors, we keep our groups small for an intimate experience. With a maximum of eight participants, multiple groups are conducted every week at a various times, including evenings and weekends.

Specialized Groups

Every experience with addiction is different, and so is every path to recovery. That’s why EHN Online developed two unique virtual treatment programs, intended for groups who felt like their needs were not being met. Our Specialized Groups meet people wherever they are in their recovery process, while also providing an environment for support without the restrictions of an abstinence-only program. This can act as a bridge for those who would like to attend abstinence-based programs in the future.

Socialization and Stabilization Group Therapy

This eight week group is designed to support individuals as they connect with others regardless of their position on the recovery continuum. Therefore, the group is suitable for those at the pre-contemplation stage, who may be resistant to “formal” programming, or are looking for a starting point to explore available recovery options. The group is grounded by the helper therapy theory and draws on positive psychology principles.

Relapse Prevention Group Therapy

This eight week group is primarily for individuals who have been through treatment at some point in their recovery journey. From a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) perspective, individuals will be introduced to practical skills, create their own high risk prevention plan, develop a personal commitment statement and participate in exercises that will empower them to live a life without alcohol, drugs and/or other unhealthy behaviours.
